PEO STRI Releases the FY11 DET S&T BAA

The US Army Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO STRI) released the Fiscal Year 2011 (FY11) Directed Energy Test Science and Technology (DET S&T) Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) under solicitation number W900KK-10-R-0010. The BAA is available on the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) and Army Single Face to Industry (ASFI) acquisition websites.

The U.S. Army PEO STRI sponsors the DET S&T Test Technology Area at the direction of the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), to advance the development of technologies required to support test and evaluation (T&E) of directed energy weapon systems in the high power microwave and high energy laser domains. Contracting with government agencies, educational institutions, non-profit organizations, and private industry, this collaboration is intended to mature high-risk, high payoff technologies to fill T&E gaps or address future T&E shortfalls.
