DETEC SIC Announces the Availability of the Small Wideband Test Sources

The Directed Energy Test and Evaluation Capability (DETEC) Systems Integration Contractor* (SIC) has successfully acquired two High Power Microwave (HPM) Small Wideband Test Sources (SWBTS) for HPM test and evaluation activities within the Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB).

The HPM SWBTS, a Diehl DS110T, is a commercially-available, high power radio frequency test source for rapid and cost effective target effects testing in realistic scenario environments. The source's antenna is mechanically tunable over a principal frequency range from 100-300 MHz using a 5.5-turn knob. A timer is included for fully autonomous or remote operation.

The White Sands Test Center and Patuxent River Naval Air Station serve as the host sites for the two test sources.
